Brain-Based Visual Exercise for Post- Social Media Scrolling

I definitely do lots of scrolling on social media myself, so no judgement here! But the truth is that if you’re looking at phone or tablet screen for long periods of time, your brain adapts to a small visual field. So when you finally look up and start moving around, you can feel agitated because your brain has not quickly readjusted to needing a larger visual field.

Try the exercise below after bouts of scrolling and see how it works for you! You may be surprised at how much better your balance is both physically and mentally!

Our brains need time to transition between tasks and this is a great way to improve your eye muscles as well as rest your brain before you move on to the next thing.

Let me know how goes for you!
