Shoulder Tightness from Hypermobility or TOS? Try This!

With chronic muscle tension or gripping from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and/or hypermobility, it can be really hard to get the tissues to release. We can use the model of fascial lines or slings to approach release in another way.

In the video, we use a simple twist, keeping the shoulders stable, to create slack in our fascial slings from rib to opposite hip. Fascia also has a quality of elasticity which creates a different effect from simply contracting and a releasing a group of muscles in one area. This is also different from stretching!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!
